S2 Mild Steel TIG Rod

ER70s-2 is a triple de-oxidized, copper coated, mild steel TIG rod. Used to create defect free deposits on most carbon steels, it is optimal for pipe welding of medium tensile steels and doing root passes on thicker walled pipe. 

Welding with S-2 can be viewed as "smoother" than welding with s-6. S2 is the preferred choice for welding with higher strength steels. S2 Requires a cleaner work material than S6, but will produce superior welds.
