Never fit flat leaving spaces where dust can get in.

I have had my panoramaxx clt papr for 5 months now. I just went to change out my first inner lense because there was dust on it (so i thought). Turned out the steel dust was on the lense itself under the inside protective lense. About 12 tiny specs worth that thankfully didn't damage my lense as i wiped them off with the provided cloth. There is a noticeable gap above the nose piece where dust gets in. They removed the frame in that area so you can get your finger on the protective lense to remove it. Thr gap there is about 1/32 or more. Then upon further inspection there are gaps all around the nose piece as well. On thebleft side of the nos epiece the protective lense actually rides above the nose frame! Optrel holds these in place with 2 quarter inch tabs that get inserted into the sides of the lense frame. Optrel should have made them with a rubber gasket like the front lense as these are pretty much useless if you work in a dusty shop. I may resort to placing tape around the lense to avoid dust getting in but ehat a chore. Man... optrel could have even had a plastic frame that snaps in and sandwhiches the protective lense down tight and this helmet would be top notch. The cheap pipeliner hood design with a drop in lense style and gasket with a retaining clip at the back holding it all is the the way to go to prevent dust getting on a lense. I have never got dust on my lense on that helmet and its 6 times cheaper than the optrel panoramaxx clt. Its shoxking these are 5$ and dont protect your lense from dust.
