ER4043 Aluminum MIG Spool

ER4043 is a 5% Silicon aluminum alloy filler metal that is one of the most widely used aluminum welding alloys for fabrication and general repairs. Made in Ontario Canada.

ER4043 conforms to: AWS A5.10, CWB

Features:

  • Primarily alloyed with silicon and magnesium
  • Great fluidity of weld puddle
  • Strong corrosion resistance
  • Intended for heat-treatable alloys 6061 and 6063
    • Does work with non heat treatable alloy 3003
  • Commonly used for welding aluminum sheet metal
  • Preferred choice for long single pass welds
    • High deposition rates
  • Popular for auto body repair, trailer building, and general fabrication
