S2 Mild Steel TIG Rod

ER70s-2 is a triple de-oxidized, copper coated, mild steel TIG rod. Used to create defect free deposits on most carbon steels, it is optimal for pipe welding of medium tensile steels and doing root passes on thicker walled pipe. 

Welding with S-2 can be viewed as "smoother" than welding with s-6. S2 is the preferred choice for welding with higher strength steels.

  • 0.045" approximately 63 individual rods
  • 1/16" approximately 32 individual rods
  • 3/32" approximately 13 individual rods
  • 1/8" approximately 8 individual rods
  • 5/32"
