Ultra Clear Auto Darkening Welding Helmet

Of all the helmets we tested from value brands, crossfire is the only one we carry. This helmet will last a long time, and has easily replaceable components.

The main selling feature of this helmet is that it has a shade level of 2.0 in the inactive state which is tied for the world record in a production helmet. It is lighter than wearing a pair of yellow safety glasses, making it perfect for those who need a helmet that can double as a grinding shield. Additionally, it has a near perfect 1/1/1/2 optical clarity rating.

The helmet has three modes: grind, cut, and weld. In grind mode, the helmet stays at a constant shade 2.0. In cut mode you can adjust from shade level 5-8, as well as control sensitivity and delay. In weld mode, you can adjust from shade level 9-13, as well as control sensitivity and delay.

The head gear is a major improvement from other helmets in this price range. It makes four points of contact which spreads the weight more evenly than the industry standard 2. It has six dimensions of adjustability which ensures you will be able to make this fit comfortably.

The internal controls have a high visibility LCD screen with internal controls. Batteries utilize the 4 sensors to enable solar charging, but batteries are replaceable should they die.

In the box, there are two spare outer lenses, and one spare inner lens. The lenses are just plain flat polycarbonate, so there is no risk of being unable to source screens in the future.

    Awesome! Great price, great helmet!

I've been using this helmet for 2 weeks and here are my thoughts:
The DIN 2 feature is so nice!!! Literally the difference between night and daylight. Seeing better means welding better. The true colour is great too. The vertical view is comfortably large enough. The horizontal view is a
normal width, but no helmet I've ever seen has the wide angle view I dream about.
I also love the auto adjust darkenning feature. I often vary my welding amps from 15 to 22 and the auto level of darkening matches the light output nicely. A great feature.
I love the controls inside the helmet where I can't accidentally bump them. The only control on the exterior is the Grind button. The button is nicely placed and so easy to use.
My only complaint is that the head band is tight against my temples and digs in a bit, but my doo-rag is padded, so I got used to the slight pressure fairly quickly and don't notice it any more.
    Great price, great helmet!
